About Technopink

Over the years, I have grown up loving all things electronic.  The words "Casio","Calico", "Commodore" and "Pong" all bring warm memories as I awaited Christmas morning and what new electronic item might be under the tree.  I had a Simon, a Merlin, and a strange little football game that chased red dots down a green screen.  I was the envy of our neighborhood, and... I was a girl.

I have noticed over the years that electronics and technology are really marketed towards men.  Look at the ads in magazines, they often have no feminine qualities about them.  Often when I go into local electronics stores, I feel talked down to when I ask the sales people for their opinions and questions.  It's as though I know nothing, and I sense it has to do with being female.  Most of the time, I know more than the sales people because by the time I go into the store, I have already done a lot of research.

I am not out to do any male bashing or anything, in fact, my husband loves electronics too.  We share in the joy of discovering the latest technology together.  However,  I wanted to create a space where women feel a feminine approach to technology.  We often use it differently than men, or we have different reasons why we may need a particular gizmo or gadget.

So lets share together our love and joy for technology.  Here you will find featured product opinions and reviews, the latest rumors buzzing around out there, and a forum to meet people.  If you need some help, have questions or if you have help to share, please share that as well on our forums!

Peace my techno friends!
